Not all of them lol

Brees and Galette restructure could free 20 mil in cap space.

And you can cut: Hawthorne (3mil), Bunkley (2,5mil), restructure Evans or Grubs (3mil), cutting Evans saves 6mil...

Our cap situation is not that bad.

key word equals could; nothing is imminent and any restructuring is speculation at this point.

Until restructuring happens and not speculated we are in a severe cap situation

Yep, agreed...maxwell or culliver would be solid. We can definitely make a run at maxwell this year, "If" we choose to do so. Im in the number that was worried about our cap & hate that we keep backloading, but restructures & cuts which are inevitable makes this possible. We have to get under the cap one way or another so it will happen.

Hey mitch, go mess around with the GM tool on fanspeak. Gives you some insight. Fun stuff

Me too. It's pretty great what Zimmer was able to do with that defensive front. And they have a pretty good trio of DTs in Joseph, Floyd and Johnson - great for rotation.

Galette doesn't seem like the restructuring type. I think he's happy that he got his.

Great defensive minded coach. The Bengals sack numbers dropped by 50 percent from 2013. It goes to show how important scheme and coaching really means. Great teams with great coaching recycles players all the time. We need to find some consistency with developing and coaching our players up as the talent is already here.

I could not agree more.

This is a thread about Delvin Breaux right? I just found out he played for LSU making him the Saints only former Tiger. So of course I really hope he shines and we have two Louisiana corners.

Contract details just released. Great work guys!

Breaux bought in on the shot to start immediately as CB#2.

With this savings at CB (and assuming he wins the job), we could spend money to upgrade OL and front seven! (maybe)

Quote:

Breaux's contract includes the league minimum base salary in each of the three years, according to the NFLPA. His base salary is $435,000 in 2015, $525,000 in 2016 and $615,000 in 2017.

A portion of his 2015 salary -- $138,000, according to a league source -- is guaranteed even if he's released by the team.

Breaux, who joined the Saints after two years in the Canadian Football League, also received a $12,000 signing bonus.
