But if the Saints did move would you still cheer for them. I can't decide -- in some apsects after all they have put me through I would get rather upset when they went out and won the superbowl. I never really liked the Jazz when they moved to Utah. On the otherhand I grew up with them and can't see my self not being in their number. I wonder what Cleveland and Baltimore fans did before they got their new teams. Unfortunately we would never get another NFL team if the Saints lost

That is rather morbid, unless they moved here To San Antonio, then I would love it, but hate it at the same time for all the fans there. Oy vay what a catch 22. Let\'s pray they don\'t move though. This has to get worked out. Maybe I will stop moving them on my Madden franchises on PS2 before it happens for real.

It all depends on why they move.

If Benson gets tired of extorting the state with the threat of leaving and actually leaves, then Benson replaces Dan Snyder as the most despised owner in football. I couldn\'t cheer for a team owned by a lesser person then Dan Snyder.

If Benson sells the team to another person, then it depends on what happens to the team. I would guess there would be a renaming/uniform change and no more Saints to cheer for. (My personal thought would be the Los Angeles Diablos ((could also work in San Antonio as the Tejanos Diablos)) which has potential as far as names/uniforms go)

But basically I think under the ESPN Sportsguy\'s rules, you\'d be free to pick a new team. It would be like your spouse dies, you could remain in mourning for the rest of your life or you could remarry, totally up to you.

I\'d probably let geography determine in that case. I couldn\'t just arbitrarially decide to become a Buffalo fan for instance. It would have to be a place I have some ties with.

Very good question. For me, it would probably depend on where they would relocate. If in Los Angeles, then no way I would root for them. Since that is where they would probably go, I doubt I would have any one team that I would root for. I would probably turn into the dude who takes his woman shopping on NFL Sunday. What a depressing thought...

No way would i root for them..this has been the ONLY team I have been a real fan of in any sport...I follow every move they make...and if that is how my years of buying thier merchandise..and constantly defending the team from fans of other, more successful teams is repaid...then they can all go to he!!...I can\'t hate the players..it\'s not thier decision..but..i can wallow in the misery of what was..and what could have been

The only way I\'d still root for the Saints is if they stayed in the Southeast. I\'m not sure about SanAntonio.
If they went to LA they\'d become my most hated team, even more than the 49ers. I\'d become a falcon lovin\' saints hatin\' fool.

I wonder which team the local television stations would air every Sunday.

Gotta admit I am not surprised about the responses. Makles me very sad to think that I would ever hate the Saints but its probably true -- more than ever I now know that they can never leave New Orleans -- unless it was outside on the way to the gulf coast and they becamse the gulf coast saints
