Was anyone else just waiting for one of those sharks to start dry legging Katy Perry during the half time show?

That would have been hilarious.

Y'all see what I just did there? Follow suit please.

Is it my problem for being concerned about their azz hanging out??

To me it is. I'd concede to you if you saw bare ass. But you don't. You see boxers, and in most cases, basketball shorts that the generation wears underneath as an extra layer. I find it hard to believe you're that offended by seeing boxers. You may think it's stupid. I think skinny jeans are dumb...so I don't wear them. I don't petition to have them banned. But to each it's own.

I'm not offended. I think it's actually pretty funny and sad.

Sure. Show your underwear and then act surprised when people react to it...

Says a lot about the character of the individual.

Wow! This takes throwing your player under the bus to a new level. Why not man up and accept responsibility for such a poor decision and play call  ?

People have been dressing like this for going on 30 years. Excuse me for being surprised there are people still so concerned with it. I wear a slight sag to my pants when walking around in my everyday clothes. I pull my scrubs up when I'm at work at the hospital only because you do what you must to make a living. So it honestly doesn't say much about character, because I'm drug free. College educated. No criminal record. Never drank in my life. With the mother of my child. And continuing to progress in my field. Now if I was to say these guys riding around still brandishing the rebel flag was a good reflection of their character everybody here would say I'm wrong.

You mean a hospital won't allow you to let your scrubs sag??

I can't believe they stomp on your freedom like that....

It's no big deal. You don't see me out here protesting it. I understand completely society decides on a code of professionalism in whatever the respected field is and you must maintain it. Except with tattoos these days. They weren't supposed to be visible, but now their okay. And I'm okay with that. Because I mind my business.

So do I. Doesn't mean I should have to look at people's dirty underwear.

And I'm a little disappointed you threw out the "rebel flag" comment.

I'm sorry you're disappointed. Unfortunately, I'm not here for the approval of the board members. I love the Saints. I love football. I love to debate.

And trust me, I'm disappointed by several comments everytime I enter a thread on this forum. But that's okay too, because you guys don't need my approval either.

Katy Perry has nice ASSets.

And I want to make it clear, I actually like you. I don't like a lot of these guys. But I like you. I respect how you feel. Just disagree wholeheartedly.

Now Katy....Katy, Katy, Katy. 😏

Way too little cleavage left me disappointed. You could tell the NFL wanted to make sure there were no malfunctions this year. It kind of ruined it for me. I did enjoy Missy Elliot though.

She was bunny hopping in that little skirt and I was waiting for a sneak peek. Russell Brand didn't know what to do with that.

Sherman and Lynch stand out on the Seahawks to me, not as thugs, but as just outright punks. Lynch's ridiculous behavior (in my opinion) in the national spotlight during interviews does not paint a mature adult picture. What has happened to this guy in the past that has left him feeling so persecuted by the media. Sherman takes trash talking to a whole different level, I would venture to a unproductive level at that. But I don't know anything about these players except the little exposure I see on TV. Don't really care if they wear their pants around their ankles or can't sit down in their skinny jeans, whatever floats their boat.
These guys are not role-models in any way except their performance of their craft.

Gotta disagree. Nobody in this forum is here when they're giving back to their communities or working hard for their various charities. And when I go back to the hood and try to show the kids a better way I don't see anybody from the forum there either. But just because I don't see you doing good things doesn't mean you don't do it. It's pretty easy to do research on what Lynch and Sherman do outside of football though. YouTube it .

The issue i see isn't that players are not role models but that adults think players should be role models.

Re: Superbowl 49

I'm sorry Rez, but I someone else said it earlier. Sherman acts like an ass and trash talks. He's got a big mouth and yes, until he switches sides of the field and covers the #1 WR, he's over rated to me. His numbers are ballooned because teams put their #2, #3, #4 WR against him and don't even look that way. Well of course not. The match up they want will be on the other side of the field. He talks trash and acts like an idiot.

Lynch is immature. He may run like a truck but he acts like a fool. Maybe he doesn't want to talk to the media. Well I'm sure his coach didn't want to either after that loss but had to. Lynch acts like the spoiled little kid who throws a fit because he doesn't want to be punished.

And a player that grabs their junk after making a TD is trash. I'd say the same if it was a Saints player. Its classless. And Lynch has done it more than once.

These guys may give back to their communities. Good for them. They should, since it their communities that make them rich. And its the nice thing to do when you're loaded.

That doesn't mean I have to like them. And don't like either of them. And I don't respect them as men.

and don't really care to.
But I hear what your saying.
My point was the reactions that these two players generate are a direct result of what people like me see with the limited exposure we have. If they are better people outside of this exposure, great. But don't get mad that most people have a negative reaction from the image they project in the national media when they are in front of the camera's.
I didn't see them nominated for the Walter Peyton Man of The Year award, but hey I didn't know anything about the guy who won that either, only "what I saw on TV" when the camera's were on him.

I don't tend to prop up players for their community service and their gracious nature because I'm smart. I know it is by design. Tax stuff you know? I doubt most would be so benevolent without 7 figure salaries. It is what it is. I'm sure you're aware.

But it's why I DO like guys like Roman Harper. He gives me a 'for real' vibe where frankly most others just don't.

And let me also say I will teach my son to have more respect for his fellow humans than to walk around with his pants tied off just below his azz, regardless of whether or not he is covering up said azz with boxers, basketball shorts, or a tattoo of the rebel flag. And my daughter will wear clothes that don't cause men to think she's easy. I will teach them that respect isn't a given - you earn it with your behavior. Bet on that sir.

But that's just me, and I'm prepared to agree to disagree, but you know, you don't HAVE to pull your pants up Rez. Go ahead and go to work with them tied off below your azz and see how 'the man' reacts. Because after all, all this 'dress respectably' stuff is just another case of the man keeping you down, right?

Ali acted like a conceited jerk. Until late in his career, he was at least able to back it up. Boxing is not a team sport. In football, one player can't single handedly control the outcome. So acting like the game was over with a 10 point lead was very idiotic, and the final score proves it.

It's smoke & mirrors. I'm sure in their private lives they do a bit of good, but only a true "slappy" comes on here and tries to convince you that because a professional athlete visits a school/playground or a sick kid in the hospital that they're a pillar of society,. Despite their gargantuan (#sarcasm) efforts to give back, their neighborhoods still suck.

In their public and professional lives, they act like anti-social idiots getting caught smoking weed, driving drunk, beating their significant others, hookers, fighting on the field, being loud & stupid, playing the gangsta' role, defecating on the football as a TD celebration in the SuperBowl (Baldwin-SEA) ... and which example do you think the majority of the youth in the neighborhoods are seeing and/or emulating?

I can tell you from personal experience, the kids aren't walking around thinking how cool it is to give back to the community, just sayin'..
