I've said here many times that I thought Sean Payton was replicating Belichick's system of implementing "role players" that fit his scheme.

Seems like we haven't had those guys in 4 years.

Wow just watching that video i realized i had forgot just exactly how FAST that team was. Wow. From special teams, to the defense, to the receivers, and even Brees in the way he got rid of the ball. Seems like we had a way more vertical scheme back then. Every part of that team just screamed confidence. Just the passion and swarm the defense had makes you wonder just what the hell happened.

The difference between that team and our team now?

We had a very good draft in 2006 and by 2009 those players were in their prime!
Plus some key players from 2007 and 2008 drafts stepped up (meachem, Tracy porter)

Young players in their prime, hungry for success with an aggressive defensive coach

Plus Mike Bell was a pretty decent running back

Damn good or not the Patriots are cheaters......if you don't have honor you've got nothing(except Superbowl rings). :roll:

They're as much as cheaters as we are to be honest. I don't buy into the scandal BS the NFL has been dishing out the past few years.
