Saints Ticket Prices Go Up $10
NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Saints announced Friday that 2005 season ticket prices will be at the NFL average of $62 per ticket -- up from $52 -- after falling below the mark due to three straight seasons of frozen ticket prices, according to a team news release.

The team said the move necessitated a $10 increase per season ticket across the board that still keeps prices well below the single-game average for a Saints game.

The club is now accepting deposits of $100 for 2005 season tickets.

When I was home over the Christmas holidays, I thought that it might be fun to get a group together and see if we could help lift the blackout against the Falcons. TicketMaster told me that the CHEAPEST seats available out of the 6600 left had the following pricing attached:

$100 ticket
50 seat license
10 service charge
_____
$160 per person

These seats were in the middle section off the endzone at about a 45 degree angle with the field. I payed less to scalpers to sit behind the Bulls bench to watch Jordan play the Knicks.

How can it not gall anyone to think that given the team\'s dismal home record plus NO CHANGES in management or coaching that Benson could possibly be asking MORE money to watch the bubbly pool of feces with the Saints logo on it?

no playoffs and they expect me to pay $100 more for my season tickets?
