Ali Marpet looks really good. You have guys (1st/2nd round talents) that struggle in most of the drills and you have guy like Marpet who is making them look so easy.

Re: Welcome To The Combine

3 TE are looking pretty good E.J. Bibbs, Nick O'Leary, and (wait for it) Jesse James. Bibbs is a little small 6'2 but looks quick with really great hands, O'Leary has the size with great hands, Jesse James(love the name) has the size and hands. These are the 3 that if I was to go after a TE I would go after. I think they will be from 4th round to possibly UDFA. Might be steals.

It was a typo. I can't help but say that everytime I hear that. Maybe because of the whole Columbine shooting in 1999. It just sticks in my head.

The big question is who is tanking so that a good team can draft him?

JAMEIS WINSTON falls to the saints at 13. no one buys into the crap he is selling

Then lets hope he falls further as i do not want to see him in a Saints uniform ever. Browns to pick him and have the terrible twosome at QB

I don't want him either. Best cas senerio he's there at 13 and Chip Kelley and the Eagles hand us their entire draft for him.

Really interested in seeing Bryan Bennett's numbers today. He has faced adversity and I could see Payton grooming him into the heir apparent....maybe. I just like the way the kid plays.

Marpet has been real impressive, but so was Tony Mandarich...

Phillip Dorsett MIA WR clocks an unofficial 4.33 40, with all these speed WRs maybe a blue chip defensive player can fall to 13

Re: Welcome To The Combine

I don't think that more than 2 WRs will be drafted before we pick (White, Cooper).

Cooper is so smooth. Beautiful.

Agree about Cooper but I could see 3 maybe 4 because you never know which dumb team (Oak, Jax, Cle) could take a WR or you could have a team leap frog #13 to get a player or WR they covet

Cant see it this year.
Some interesting options in FA and this years WR class isnt half as good as last years.

Re: Welcome To The Combine

Danielle Hunter 4.57 in the 40....for a DE that lead the SEC in tackles at or behind the line that is highlight reel fast. He may be raw but he has the frame to add some size and would be a nice addition on day 2.

Been watching him, being from MSU and all ... he ran behind Le'Veon Bell (PIT) and now I'm wondering if he'll have similar success ... scratching my head at the number of players MSU's been sending to the NFL lately ... it never used to be like that.

Laughing at the 'Tony Mandarich' comments ... it's always a toss-up between Mandarich & Brian Bosworth when I think about "biggest draft busts", ... Mandrich was a Spartan, ;).

Would he touch a players like Green-Beckham?,maybe the most talentes receiver in the draft if he is there in rounds 2/3.

I was hoping it was DeAnthony Thomas last year, Beckham has 1st round talent but has decision making skills of an UDFA so it should be interesting to see where he is drafted this year. I wouldn't mind the Saints trading up in the 2nd to get him just don't think he'll be there

Ryan Leaf will always be my biggest draft bust

Some of the best sights and sounds Sunday at the 2015 NFL Combine - CBSSports.com

Gotta tell ya - really love the guy (Ryan) and know the media is just trying to stir the pot, but some of those pics are embarrassing...

JaBustus Russell is easily the biggest bust of all time. No one else is close.

No and here's why: only the Raiders (Al Davis) were dumb enough to judge him off of that Sugar Bowl victory against an overrated Norte Dame team (when aren't they) and his combine/pro day. IIRC he wasn't all that great at LSU besides that game and the Raiders were so desperate for a quarterback that they Raidered up the draft by passing on Calvin Johnson to fill a need instead of taking the best player available in the draft. I could see why Lane Kiffen quit but he shouldn't of taken that job to begin with because at the end of the day you were Davis' puppet. Even Gruden got frustrated with Davis and the Raiders were winning under Gruden (**** you tuck rule).

So the Raiders got what they were suppose to get, a quarterback that was hyped by the media due to one game and a couple workouts. Ryan Leaf actually had a great final year at WSU, he lead them to the Rose Bowl with little talent around him so I could see where scouts would think he would make a good/great NFL quarterback.

To me a bust is someone that performs below expectations not someone that meets expectations

Yeah, its like the camera guys were waiting for the Big Lebowski to take a bite out of that sandwich/toast.

I think a lot of Rob's coverage is a by product of his brother. Just because Rex is a loud, crash person the media tries to portray Rob in the same light. Yes Rob has his moments but not nearly as many as Rex

Remember we are drafting a #2 CB and to find one that might just turn into a #1 would have a huge impact. Trae Waynes is impressive.

I like Trae too however the corner back position is way too risky. Would prefer an O lineman (Collins) or an edge rusher with the 1st draft selection. Not the sexy pick but the safer one.

i fully agree.

but in a division like the nfc south you really need to consider a CB with this size and speed. he would be the first CB to have the height and speed to compete falclowns jones.

if we are to consider this team as a perennial play off team i say you gotta roll the dice. Any 34 you gotta have the CBs.

plus i see a run on CB at the bottom of the first and the top of the second after the egg the second tier of LB laid at the combine.

it would be sweet to sit there at 13 and have La'el Collins and Trae Waynes still on the board.

i would be :broccoli:and praying

Re: Welcome To The Combine

Its that nast circle though as we are

Last year we could have had Revis,Sherman and Chancellor in the backfield and they would habe been awful with the pass rush we had. I teally think we need to get a passrush going and protect Brees over everything else. We have two good pass rushers (i know they struggled last year and have limitations ) in Cam and Junior but thats it. You know that Hicks and Vaccaro can get the odd sack but nobody else is proven. I think loosing Harpers ability to get into the backfield was a issue. The Seahawks and most good rushing teams have depth so keep the rushers fresh. Its a big issue imo. I like both Foster and Walker at DE. Edebali looks a good prospect but we need talent now to go with the prospects. Not javing a NT that turns up each week, stoppi g the run and collapsi g the pocket is also a major problem.

Too many times last season (especially the Falcons games) we got the pressure towards Ryan but the pocket held long enough for him to find a out or we didn't seal the pocket as it was collapsing. He would look dead in the water and then manage to scramble away.
