A rookie free agent that fought for a roster spot day one and beat out the 3rd round draft pick. A true hustler, ill miss him and best of luck in what or wherever he does or goes.

Can't say I'm surprised. I thought the writing was on the wall as we started phasing him out of the offense even when healthy last season. Factor in his salary and Ingram's increased touches, it makes sense. As much as we all love PT, his production is replaceable a fraction of the cost.

Good luck PT. I'd like to see him in Philly or possibly be Vereen's replacement in New England. Belichick does like him.

Pierre gone and potentially losing Roll Tide... ouch :bugeyes: ! I sure hope the front office have their replacements/upgrades at RB's in place.
No one was better in the screen game than PT. Made the difficult seem easy.

Football is a business and unfortunately good players are cut/released & teams move on.

I hate the business side of this sport. I get it, but it still blows. I thought he picked up the blitz pretty well, i think better than what we got now, Drew's happy feet or gonna be real happy this year, better have his head on a swivel, that's for sure. Any ways, PT was my favorite, gonna miss him.

We traded him. We didn't release him. And he wasn't really doing much for us. And he mostly shined on special teams for the eagles. He sucked on special teams here.

We need change and youth and you had to see it coming. It can be a good move. I love him but I dont get too attached to players. Winning takes hard decisions. Hope this one pays off. I see them giving Cooks some of those screens along with whatever else. If they keep Ingram or KR they will have a nice one two punch

As much as I hate to say it I don't think Drew speaks up for the team to Payton he just sits back and let this happen. Brees, if you want to be this leader you need to speak up to the FO.

We need to quit trying to imitate Seattle. We can have our own style and win as long as we can have a good defense. No way is a back gonna run like Lynch if he does not get the volume of carries.

Perhaps he does. Who is to say he didn't feel it was time for Thomas to move on? His expected salary clearly wasn't warranted by his recent play. I loved PT as much, if not more, than most, but his days were numbered and Brees has to know that, as well.
