Colston Restructure
Saints WR Marques Colston has restructured his contract, source says. No details available but he sticks with the team.
Marques Colston has agreed to a restructured contract to keep him with the Saints. In all likelihood, we're looking at a straight pay cut from Colston. He was scheduled to earn $6.9 million this season and count $9.7 million against the cap. Coming off a poor season and about to turn 32, he had to do something with his contract if he wanted to stick around. It probably would have made more sense to outright cut Colston, but GM Mickey Loomis has been extremely loyal to veterans. Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter |
"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Re: Colston Restructure
Saw that on NOLA a few minutes ago.
Going to be a busy weekend and I expect a couple more shockers (in addition to PT) |

Re: Colston Restructure
Happy with this too.
Not sure he is a 1000 yard a season guy anymore (thiugh i think his production has been hit by Graham rather than loss of ability) but if he can get 6-800 yards and 5+ TDs he can be really important still. |

Re: Colston Restructure
No more drops and fumbles please. Yardage is not that important.

Re: Colston Restructure
I think its fair to say last year can easily be written off for Colston. The extended rest of no playoffs etc may benefit him. 8 drops and 1 fumble last year. But only 10 fumbles in his career, considering the amount of time Drew has push the ball to him across the middle for DBs free hits thats a great number.

Re: Colston Restructure
Smart move by everyone involved! There would've been an absolute mutiny if we got rid of Pierre AND Colston lol.
