Mark Ingram Re-signs with Saints

For once I'm going to post word for word what I said over at SR:

Another stupid contract by Loomis. Ingram is not, NOT a 4 million a year running back. This guy has never had a 1000 yard season and adds nothing to the screen game. Can't believe they cut PT to give this hack more money.There are better, cheaper options out there yet they jumped the shark to keep him around. This defense has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese but let's resign an average running back in a pass happy league. Hope you guys are ready for another disappointing season because it's coming

First, I love PT. Bottom line, he had 600 total yards last year, and only 45 catches. I'd take him back tomorrow, but when you compare a 25 yr old RB vs a 30 yr old, this makes sense.
Second, a hack? Um, okay.
Third, cheaper options? Ingram is only 25 and coming off a 964 yard season and is staying at $4 million, which barely puts him in the top 15

oh, and that's not what "jump the shark" means

Loomis went set the market before the market was set for a running back. He has never done that with contracts in the past. Sure its a better deal than Gore or McCoy but both those guys have earned their contracts with their new teams, Ingram has not.

Maybe I took the term a little out of context but to me it fits
