2015 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Hurries? That's almost getting it done, right?!? Would really like to see the defense get way back to the point when we sacked, stripped the ball and gave our offense terrific field position!!! Geez did Loomis overpay, reach for this ...

Yes. Hurries.

It's not Galette's fault receivers were roaming free all season long...

'76, what is a reasonable time per play from scrimmage that a defensive back should have to cover a receiver?

Many of those backfield breakdowns last season were clearly failure of not containing, collapsing the pocket...

There was total suckage to geaux around the entire defense, but the problems in my mind clearly started upfront...

2016 Free Agency, Draft Needs:

Defensive End
Wide Receiver
Linebacker
Guard

Who knows, we could trade one of our safeties for another piece now...

I agree with Greg on PJ getting a lot of value time at the nickle position. Interesting I didn't see Ellerbe's name as a starter (Hawthorne being in the middle scares the hell outta me).

Training camp will be a battle .

Re: 2015 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

We signed another receiver...

(Lance) Lewis, 6-2, 207, comes to New Orleans after spending the entire 2014 campaign on the practice squad of the San Francisco 49ers. Originally signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina in 2012, Lewis appeared in three games for the Redskins in 2013 after starting the season on their practice squad and was also on the Dallas Cowboys practice roster for Week 17 of that campaign.

The Concord, N.C. native played two seasons at East Carolina and following his senior campaign, ranked first in school record books in touchdown receptions (22), third in receptions (149) and fifth in receiving yardage (1,716).

These are usually the little signings that surprise (i.e. Lance Moore); good size, look forward to seeing what he can do...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Hmm...well our new WR Coach (John Morton) spent the last several years with the 49ers so maybe he has some insight on Lewis ?

Camp body to push Toon, Coleman or Jones, no?

Edit: I read a report from Mike Detillier yesterday ... "WR. Seatavius Jones has spent a lot of time in weightroom, bigger, quicker off snap and he has another gear in space".

Good sign .

Ingram --> "minor" foot issue

He played like warrior last season (contract year) but it is a good thing that we still have Khiry Robinson.

I'm curious to see Spiller in black and gold. I just want to see him finish games (2nd half) on the field and not sitting on the bench.
