this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Height isn't everything when it comes to CBs. The trend nowadays is for teams to look for 6-2 corners, but many times those taller CBs don't have the necessary hip fluidity to keep up with the receivers. Now of course ...

Height isn't everything when it comes to CBs. The trend nowadays is for teams to look for 6-2 corners, but many times those taller CBs don't have the necessary hip fluidity to keep up with the receivers. Now of course you go for the taller guy with all other things being equal between two choices, but the ability to track the ball in flight and to time the jump to meet the ball at your highest point is far more important than few inches of height.
