One thing I did notice with The Saints last year. Graham on the field... Paaaaaassssssss. Graham off the field.. run. Was your OC a little too predictable last year?

You should have seen it on 3rd down, 11 players could cover Graham and Brees would still force it there

Our offense performed better without Graham, Brees is at his best when he has time and when he can spread the ball around

The ball was constantly forced to Graham because the pocket kept collapsing too quick.

We have been getting predictable for a couple of years imo.

I think the grades from Walterfootball are spot on

Seahawks acquire TE Jimmy Graham, 4th-round pick from Saints for C Max Unger, 1st-round pick
Remember a year ago when the Saints gave Jimmy Graham all that money? It's amazing how quickly things can change in the NFL. Graham is now gone to the Pacific Northwest, and the Saints acquired Max Unger and a first-round choice in return.

I don't think there's a concise winner in this deal, as it makes sense for both teams. For Seattle, throwing the ball to Graham in the end zone makes a lot more sense than targeting Ricardo Lockette, or any of the other mediocre targets Seattle had. Graham's presence on the field will also open things up for Marshawn Lynch, who won't face stacked boxes anymore. More importantly, Wilson finally has a stud weapon to work with, so he'll be even better in his fourth season.

Wilson, however, loses a center, but that's not a huge deal because of how mobile he is. It would mean far more for a pocket-passing quarterback, but the offensive line isn't as prevalent for Wilson. It is for Drew Brees, who was beaten up last year because center Jonathan Goodwin was incompetent. Unger is a huge upgrade, and the Saints are getting a first-round pick on top of it.

Brees does lose Graham though, which is huge. Perhaps the Saints will use their second opening-round draft selection on a replacement in Maxx Williams, who fits the range at the end of the first round, though I currently have Williams going in the second frame. Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks

Why trade him when they could've got a 1st and at least fifth rd pick last year? Now trade him for a 1st that might as well be a second rd pick and trade a 4th rd pick for a oft injured player when we have Tim Lelito on the roster has me puzzled. It didn't solve the cap, its not a definite answer at center and its not really a 1st rd pick when you're only 2 draft picks away from the second.

I AM PRAYING WE DRAFT BETTER THAN LAST YEAR OR WE WILL BE SAYING BYE TO THE BEST COACH THE SAINTS EVER HAD

I agree with this totally. I hope Unger stays healthy; he is a great player and will be missed in Seattle. He has had injuries but to be honest, he has had some bad luck. I will probably be a closet Saints fan next year and I really hope you take it to Dan Quinn.

On second thought he's not a blocker & perhaps Sean is still pissed about the fumble in the end zone against Atlanta.

No need. If you want to get an idea of the Saints offense without Graham, take a look at the Pittsburgh game last season. Other than the decoy on the Watson TD, Graham simply wasn't a significant contributor. And the offense still ran like clockwork.

SFIAH

I don't think Graham had a catch in the Pittsburgh game, and maybe not even a single pass went his way. We still scored at will, and it was one of our best offensive games.

A TE fine in the draft but only if lower rounds. Josh and Ben Watson are fine.
