I was talking about White,Jones,Benjamin, and Jackson. A punch in the mouth meaning get physical with. The racist comment was a silly joke referring to your Mr. White comment.

Well I can't say I am surprised by your post. As usual they make little to no sense and would devolve into circular arguments being made if one were to debate this with you. At least you have finally worked on capitalizing and punctuation, so thanks I guess...

lol cmon man it's just the beginning of free agency. You solve one problem at a time. The interior of the oline was a major problem so we took care of that with the graham trade. We were plagued by corner back issues all year long on the opposite side of lewis so we take care of that now. I believe we can pick up some LB help and DL help between now and the draft.

My guess is that we are still waiting for the market to play out on some of those positions so we can get a better bargain. Be patient. If the front office has showed you anything recently it's that they are spending to win.

We have three chances in the first two rounds to draft NFL ready linebacker! I am not upset we traded Graham, it was the right move. I was calling for it during the season.

As I said on another thread let's pray our defense is a top 5 defense because as it stands right now, today offensively we are done.

Lol

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

Cook is our number 1 receiver. There's receivers in the draft to draft later. We have Kenny Stills also. And we might be able to get someone like J Strong in the third round because no one seems to be on him early.

Bottom line Brees struggled last year because he had no time to throw the ball and when he did play well it wasn't because Graham was contained allowing someone to be open. Brees has thrown into coverage plenty of times its all about the timing.

The problem I have with this trade is last year we got rid of sprolles, Jenkins, harper, Greer, and others to keep jg and we trade him this season and we want to hollar its about the cap! What about the cap last season. to be honest i wanted to get rid of him last season but we got rid of everyone else to keep him. Now as I look at our roster, we're gutted! Who's our #1 receiver? Who's our #1 offensive weapon period? And to top it off we give him to the one team that's been handing our asses to us for what 2 years in a row!

Cooks, Stills and Colston would be among the best WR corps in the league.

This move had little to do with the immediate cap impact.

How many star WRs did the Saints have when they won the SB?... 0

Our offense will be much better without Jimmy because Brees won't force feed him every game. Lastly, if Cooks doesn't get hurt Jimmy wouldn't have been our number 1 WR; furthermore Jimmy had the 3rd most receiving yards (Cooks doesn't get hurt he would have the 4th most).

One thing I want to make clear; I am only responding to you because 80% of what you wrote was coherent.

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

What people don't understand(well one) is that getting Browner and Tramon helps build camaderie with the cornerbacks. Having strong talent to relate to each other is good for the team because Browner, Tramon, and Lewis can all bounce plans and ideas off each other. It also makes things a heck of a lot easier for our safeties where they can concentrate on being safeties and not having to help double someone. And we have not seen Byrd's footprints on our team yet and he is a big deal. We do what the pats did, we look down the outside receiving and have the safeties and nickle CB to focus on the middle and that plays into Byrd's strength to make some nice plays.

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

if cook is our #1 we are in big trouble. he is not exactly what i call a possession wr type. cook is a 3 or a utility wr. then again SP never really gave him too many chances down field

i am not ruling out a wr in round 1, Parker fits the bill as a #1 WR but with solid speed.

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

Cooks looked good two of the three weeks before his injury and that other week was on a short week where he really wasn't needed.

I still want us to draft a cb in the draft. I don't feel this moves our solution. Then again I could be wrong.

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

browner would bring a nasty attitude

williams would add professional steady consistency

go with the cheaper of the two. can not loose either way. one will get less flags

though Lewis and Browner would change the entire mind set of the secondary.

question is

for the good? or the bad?

Now that could possibly be a solution if Kennan gets his mind right.

I always wanted a job like that, being able to spend freely while getting paid. I would be very, very good at it too.

package deal? dam that would be sweet. but speed is still needed so draft one also

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

If we got both then i'm not sure i would draft one any higher than 5/6th rounder. Got to hope that Baptise can step up a bit this year. Last year was poor allround and it seems more and more that there were major frictions in camp that may have been part of the issue. If the vets are not helping the rookies they are going to struggle to learn.

We also have
Delvin Breaux 6'1 sub 4.4
Brian Dixon 6" 4.41

I thought Dixon was really good last year when you factor in the lack of pass rush and being left out there on his own way to often. Lewis,Browner,Williams and then SJB,Breaux,Dixon is not a bad secondary at all as long especially if Byrd and Sanford play as FS/SS and Vaccaro goes back to being a pest lined up in 3 safety sets. Give that backfield a improved pass rush and we improve loads

Saw this late last night:

As of now, Brandon Browner is still set to visit the Redskins. He spent time in New Orleans today Chris Russell (@Russellmania980)

Today should interesting, hopefully he doesn't make that trip because Redskins have the luxury of over paying that the Saints don't

Ian Rapoport ✔ @RapSheet

Meanwhile, #Saints made a major push to sign CB Brandon Browner yesterday, offering him more than $5M per year. Could help that locker room

Damn. We offered him more than 5 million per year and he's still looking around? Sigh. I rather guarantee Lewis' contract now.

I don't look at it like that. I think he will sign. Just ironing out the details

Cant blame him still looking.
Stupid monet getting offered around for cb this year. Look around and hope for another 2/3ml guaranteed

papz 03-12-2015 09:55 AM

Re: Saints going after CB Brandon Browner

I don't blame him for looking around. He should definitely look to maximize his contract as this will probably be the last contract he signs of value. As the price rises, which if he makes it to Washington likely will happen, that just makes me lose interest. I'd hate to get in a bidding war and 5+ million is already a very fair offer. It just makes Lewis' contract look like even more of a bargain.

Hmmm, wonder what that means for Tramon Williams. To be honest I think Tramon is the better corner but his age just scares me a little. And the suspensions and penalties for browner scare me. I hope we have something in the contract to cover ourselves against browner getting suspended.
