I just wish we would have acted sooner on CB's. Maxwell would have been a nice pickup. Actually,we should have grabbed Maxwell and House and had a perky, caffeinated secondary.

"They’ve been lurking in the cornerback market, and now the #Redskins get a visit from a talented one: Perrish Cox on the way tomorrow."
This guy could be solid pickup that won't break the bank. Damn. |

Re: CB Tramon Williams will visit the New Orleans Saints
Unfortunately we don't have anyone on the roster resembling KLewis and the Saints don't have major chip$ to spend on a CB in FA. The last thing we need is to rely on young guys and/or rookies with no experience at that position. We truly need an older/more skillful vet with tons of experience that the young guys can follow. Tramon could be that guy and may come cheap.
I too would prefer the marquee names of Revis/Cromartie/Skrine/Culliver etc but it doesn't appear cap wise that we can financially compete with other suitors. I would be ok with T Williams on a one year deal. |

Re: CB Tramon Williams will visit the New Orleans Saints
I like this move a lot, a real lot. Would love to sign him for the right price, throw in Browner too, if we can and man that would be a nice backend.
Mick says 13 and 31 in draft go toward defense, fixing d. |

Re: CB Tramon Williams will visit the New Orleans Saints
Williams or Cromart? Williams, from what I read, has missed only one game...
He is better than anything we currently have as 2 or nickel. I'd like to see him and Browner. That would be a huge help to our backend. Then we'd have lewis and two solid other CB's. We don't need a number 1 just some solid players at 2 and nickel. |

Re: CB Tramon Williams will visit the New Orleans Saints
3-4 requires our linebackers to gap well and cover well.
Most LB's are either/or, big enough to fill on run support, then too slow sideline to sideline, or, good cover speed but no leverage at the point of attack. We were at times, terrible up front, which really exposed our DB's and safeties. We need help up front also. It seemed seldom that anyone played well two weeks in a row. Upgrades at the linebacker spot will definitely make our DB's look better. We gave up 130 ypg last year. It's hard to win like that. |
