The newly updated records show a dramatic pay cut for veteran receiver Marques Colston, who also agreed to restructure his contract to remain with the Saints. Colston's base salary dips from $6.9 million to $1.445 million in 2015, according to records, and from $7.7 million to $2.65 million in 2016. ...... Hawthorne is slightly better in coverage than Lofton.

Re: Hawthorne takes pay cut to stay
Smart man. He should know he has the most chance for regular playing time here and if he has a good season, we could always restructure here. There isn't much potential for a salary increase if you don't get playing time to showcase your abilities.

Re: Hawthorne takes pay cut to stay
makes you wonder about what Lofton was offered, if anything
