A number of the previous posts hit it. Give Brees more time in the pocket and receivers will be open. Graham was his go-to receiver because his size allowed him to out-reach defenders in tight coverage. He had few other options. If additional time in the pocket allows receivers to get better separation picks will go down and yards after the catch will go up, especially with Stills' and Cooks' speed. I see the JG trade turning the Saints into a more explosive offense.
On the flip side, a pass rush that results in turnovers puts Brees back on the field. It worked in '09 and it'll work in '15. So, time for Payton and Loomis to fill in the blanks on D. |

Re: How losing Jimmy Graham might impact the Saints’ offense
Since when did Jimmy Graham become the end all, be all for the Saints? The media is retarded to think the Saints won't replace the production.

Re: How losing Jimmy Graham might impact the Saints’ offense
They did just fine without him last year when he was injured... Drew just threw passes to 11(exaggeration, it was more like 7) different receivers...

Spreading the ball out in a very unpredictable manner. That's when Brees has his best games and looks unstoppable. He's also unstoppable throwing to two main targets, just as long as they are not dropping balls left and right.
