Trying to build great defense,RB heavy lets you bring in a younger player without putting the pressure on him.

Would it shock anyone if a team like Tampa/Browns made the offer?

Is there a dislike button for your own posts?
I read that tweet as Drew not happy with trades

Nothing would surprise me anymore with the way things have been going so far in free agency.

So Brees was not happy with two players and we trade those players and that translates into we are looking to get rid of him??

No i'd say this has more to do with recognizing we did not protect him last year and our greatest success comes in doig that, never mind play action. Holy ****, how will teams deal with Mark, Khiry, and CJ?

Hell Drew was mad when we let Nicks go and that blame was on him.

I think you're reading the first part wrong. he wasn't unhappy with the trades, he was unhappy with their play last year

Re: Are we getting ready for life without Drew?

Considering how bad our D was and that 2014 was one of Brees' better, statistical speaking, you can't say that his performance has peaked. Surround him with the right people he's good for a several more years.

It appears that Loomis strayed from the winning recipe he espoused back in 2010 when he said "We felt like character was even more important for our team". Seems that they may be trying to get back to basics.

Knowing Saints fans, if Loomis/Payton were to trade Brees they best make the announcement from another state....or planet....and plan on staying there.
