this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I agree Cooks looks a great prospect and could be a Emmanuel Sanders/Wes Welker 100+ catch guy but with much bigger splash plays. Colston will be a great through the middle and red zone target. Outside of them Toon showed ...

I agree

Outside of them Toon showed some promise last year as did Hill but its a big ask for them to replace around 2000 yards and double digit TDs.

Hey Mike understood. I was just saying that if they decided to he would be the best option available at 13.

Re: Offense Lookin Good

if both OT are off the board lets open things up at 13. phil trades up we get 20 and pro bowl LG Evan Mathis plus say a fourth?

LG Evan Mathis is 33 but he did not become a starter till 2009 so pretty low mileage. 2 years left on a pretty nice insensitive ladened contract. 5 and 6 mill

Cooks could be next Antonio Brown.

I still laugh when people think we are going to draft on needs. We have drafted BPA and you don't know who that is until the draft reveals itself to us.

I don't like that at all. 33 is ancient in the NFL no matter the mileage. I'd take my odds on any other available player at 13.

not saying i would do it but if your looking for cap relief and want to save money and get a solid vet in return he is a good option that is getting shopped right now. two years left on the contract and basically no dead money to talk about. good stop gap measure that we would not get stuck with if we want to make a change

team him with Evans and Unger would be more to my liking
