Speaking of Cie Grant....

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I am sick of waiting for this guy to get healthy enough to play...I am not sure if Haslett is trying to get his guys to play before they should...And getting them re-injured...or if it's just plain old bad luck... ...

Haslett..Historically, Hasn't has much sympathy for the injured...and wants them back out on the field as soon as they can practice well...

It might have had something to do with the lack-luster season Deuce has had..I know he was hurt..but..He might have been playing a little too early...And Horn..who is always playing hurt it seems...Always maintains his presence and consitently makes plays..so..It's kinda hard to say just how hurt Joe is, or if it's some scheme to try to get opposing teams not to feel the need to double team a gimpy wide out..Who knows..

But..I say if Cie Grant can't come in here, and PRODUCE....This coming Year....Then we would have no choice but to just let him go...

you know i think all coaches want their guys back on the field before they are really healthy. i mean theese guys play with injuries that would keep us out of work for a month or more. i think most of them see it as their job. i think with cie that he is just easily injured. it happens to some guys you know. look at charles rogers. that guy is starting to seem like he wont play to many downs in the nfl. that would be a real shame too because i think that guy has allthe talent in the world. i just think some guys get hurt easier. call it bad luck or whatever. because im with you i dont get it either. but you know you here about theese guys. shoot even deuce fell to where we got him because teams were scared of the injury bug. who knows really

Your team stinks

Cie isn\'t going to produce. His injury will sideline him for a while if not for life. What I can\'t understand is the penchant of Hazlett, LoomBoom, or Baby Mule to keep people as \"projects.\" One per year may be OK, but think about it. We have as follows.

1. Stinchcomb
2. Henderson
3. Cie Grant
4. Hodge
5. Hall
6. Boo Williams
7. Leon

Enough already. Get Team oriented football players and stop coddling these folks. If they are unable to p;ay because of mental or physical defects, show them the damned door.

i would agree. we do seem to have a tendency to look for that diamond in the ruff. you know what is funny. i think we may have found him. his name is bockwoldt.
but im sure they will find a way to replace him and then he will go somewhere else and make the pro bowl

Stinchcomb and Henderson should not be projects. They\'re second round picks, dangit. They need to work their way onto the field or take a hike.

in theory that sounds good... but reality it takes a few years for a WR to learn the game and come up to speed.

I think also..Henderson may have been overrated..Due to his blazing speed..and that HUGE game winning catch he had while in College..In reality..We probably spent a 2nd round pick on a 4th round kind of Player...But..There is no reason why he couldn\'t be a Gunner , or Returner for Special Teams..He has the speed...even if only to occupy a blocker...And throw Sullivan out there too..

Stinchcomb has got to bring it this year..not just for his sake..but the whole Team..We have got to get better on the O-Line..and It starts with our young, experienced guys...

I\'m not going to count on the draft getting us Impact Players..If we can\'t do the job in Free Agency..I am betting we won\'t play much better than we have the previous few years...

ditto, the draft must improve NOW for the team to excel. another year of blown picks ala sully, stinch (stinks), henderson cannot be afforded. i know hindsight is 20/20 but plenty of rookie receivers had immediate impact last year. besides the claytons and evans those picked after henderson (at #50) watts, denver (#54) had 31 catches and colbert, carolina (#62) had 47 with 5tds. it is one thing for a guy to not come in and be a stud... but having upper round picks who cannot even make it to the active roster after a couple of years is another. a history returning to the rick middleton, alvin tole, and vaughn dunbar picks will net the same result.

I feel bad for CG. He\'s the KiJana Carter of LBs. No luck at all and consistently suffering season-ending injury.

The guy has all the heart, athleticism and intensity that you would want in a MLB. He\'s just always in the wrong place, at the wrong time, when it comes to getting hit.

I suspect that his career is over, as well. Just hate to see that when so many of out players don\'t have a tenth of his heart.... ahem... Sullivan.
