Re: Is there anyone worth moving up for?
This is a year I am not excited about moving up for. After watching all the "EDGE" rushers and the tackles who should be guards, they all seem the same to me. There isn't a single player at a need position that stands out to me. With the lone exception being Trae Waynes.
Notice I am using 'me' as I am not some magnificent scout who sees all the little nuances of the game. All I know is I have watched football religiously for many years and this is the first year in a while that NO ONE stands out. stay put or move down, but please don't move up. |

Re: Is there anyone worth moving up for?
It would be very like Payton and Loomis to impulsively move up to grab someone that no one (or few) had ever heard of. This team has a bit of a penchant for shiny objects and short attention spans on draft day.

I still have reservations on Beasley due to his size. It ine thing bulking up for the combine but can he keep tgat additional weight and probably a touch more on while playing every week?. He has plenty of talent but im not sure i would want to put an additional 2nd rounder on the table for him.

Re: Is there anyone worth moving up for?
We spent a first round pick on a 3-4 defensive end out of Cal (Jordan)...
We drafted another big defensive tackle/end hybrid (Hicks), then... We've traded two round four picks to select a 3-4 nose tackle (Jenkins) in the third round... WTF don't we just stay the course and finish moving to the 3-4 base package?!? We can finally get the right linebackers which we are well positioned to attain?!? Shane Ray, Randy Gregory, Bud Dupree are one dimensional 4-3 defensive ends... Beasley's size? Please! He's the perfect draft candidate for a 3-4 defensive end... You protect him with those big defensive ends you already have under contract... And then you let his size and speed blow up the competition... For those padawans under forty, probably have no concept of how beautiful a sight that a 3-4 with good personnel can be... Especially in black and gold... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I'd move up for her. Draft her as 1/2 time show at my house.
