Re: Either Drew Brees or Philip Rivers could be a good trade fit for the New York Jets, New York Daily News says
I am ok trading Brees away but we should get something!!!
His cap hit is a monster... he deserves it but we aren't going to have him very long anyways... he won't be able to play to the level we are going to need him to play. 1 - 2 more years? If we can replace him with a franchise QB I say do it and we'd have more years without worrying so much about the QB position. |

Fits right in with the "Front Office" not having a plan. I think they are all watching "Major League" today to get ideas. I wonder who our "Wild Thing" will be?

Whilst it won't happen this year, Drew's last year of his contract is next year I believe.
It's going to be tough when we decide to move on. |

Mariota'd fit right in with many of our other draft choices. Not sure the J-E-T-S could really afford Drew though.

We can be like the Patriots or Packers and groom QBs (Brady, Rodgers), or we can be like Tampa and the Jets missing on draft picks left and right. Trading up has not worked out well for us and I really hope we don't do it this year, particularly for a QB. |

"Anybody who thinks we're trading Drew Brees, that's just not true," Loomis said before the start of the NFL owners meetings in Phoenix.
Loomis also said the Saints' salary cap struggles have been overstated. "We're not in cap jail," Loomis said. "That's a myth since it's always a year to year deal." |

Good grief you can tell its the offseason and these hacks are force to write something or loose their jobs. Rivers and Brees are going nowhere, Brees will retire a Saints and Rivers will get Franchise Tagged next season and then work out a long term deal in SD or LA
