Bud Dupree
This guy would be perfect for our Defense. I know some on the forum don't feel he would be an ideal fit but trust me, the fact that he's 269 lbs already, means he can easily pump up to 280 lbs and be our 5 technique DE opposite Cam Jordan.

Re: Bud Dupree
The pick would be a reach in my opinion(which counts for little, I know) as I don't think we should be drafting developmental players in the top 15 picks, especially not on defense. We need day 1 starters. Unfortunately all the immediate impact pass rushers will be gone by 13.

Re: Bud Dupree
I respectfully have to disagree with your opinion. He is ready to step in from day one start on a defense. The fact that he has an NFL Ready body means he simply has to be plugged into a spot on the defense and let go. Also since he has the versatility to play multiple positions he would allow us to keep additional players at a more needed position like O-line. He is far from a reach at #13.

Re: Bud Dupree
he is one of the many teases in the first round. if he reaches just half of the hype he is getting it is a good pick. if he reaches 100% we are talking pro bowl hall of fame type of player.

Re: Bud Dupree
He would be a very poor selection at 13. If he is available at 31 then you take him, but no way do we need another "project player".
Risk is too high, 1st round picks and 2nd need to contribute day 1. |

Re: Bud Dupree
I could not agree more. If those players that get picked are not solid to shore up the O- line and the D's front 7 we don't need them. There are solid picks even in the 4th round, probably a few real good rotational players in the 5th for building solid depth. I hope our front office don't pi$$ this draft away.

What we need is an ILB in the first round.
