I hope we trade him for a 4th round pick. I like Pierre Warren even more than Bush.

Re: Thoughts On Rafael Bush

I'll never forget the hit he put on Percy Harvin in our playoff game vs Seattle, putting him out of the game if I remember right. Either way, Harvin was non-existent after that hit. Definetely worth the 15yd penalty. I think this guy can really play. I certainly like him more than Vaccarro. I just wanna see our best guys on the field as much as possible. We have some tough decisions in the secondary now. What do we do with Vaccarro, Bush and Warren? Factor in Breaux and dare I say we are loaded in the secondary. I assume if Byrd is healthy he starts at free safety for sure.

Re: Thoughts On Rafael Bush

He's more of a True safety than Vaccaro is, we used them both to their strengths in 2013 but tried to make Vaccaro a SS in 2014 and it backfired!

As good as the hit on Percy Harvin was, I actually preferred the one he put on Golden Tate in the same game, Tate was petrified for the rest of the game and even flinched when he saw Bush coming towards him to break up a pass!

Don't forget about Delvin Breaux, Marcus Ball, Kenny Phillips, or even Sunseri... We have plenty of safeties to do the "true" safety role...

Phillips and Byrd could be deadly together

I like what streif did there, but I also like Kenny's honest concern, and the hit wasn't dirty in my opin

Re: Thoughts On Rafael Bush

He's one of our top three proven safeties. But he does have trade value and we have a ton of safeties.

Everyone after that is still an unknown. Yes, they all looked good last year in limited action......these young guys will have a year in the system and might be ready to fill a role this season.
Factor in Breaux and we have a lot of talent. We just need to see how things come together in TC. Browner and Lewis will man the corners and we will be able to execute any exotic plays in the secondary.

Re: Thoughts On Rafael Bush

Thoughts on Bush??

Here is my reasoning ...
1. By scouts and NFL guru's standards, this is not a deep safety class.
2. We possibly have more safeties on the roster than any other NFL team (10 and counting )
3. Pierre Warren and V Sunseri are on the rise and CHEAPER (Bush being the LUXURY).

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Raphael is shopped and subsequently traded.

Trust and believe

If I could have Bush aggressiveness & speed; Warren vision and ballhawk abilities it will make the perfect safety. Warren can't tackle & bush is more like a expensive luxury player with Vacarro, Byrd & Sanford on the roster
