When veteran offensive lineman Jahri Evans agreed to slice down his 2015 salary, it may have marked the final contract restructuring of what has been a busy offseason for New Orleans Saints.
The Saints are now $4.69 million under the salary cap, more than enough room to sign all their draft picks plus a little extra to pursue inexpensive veteran free agents. As expected, the Saints were aggressive about shedding salary this offseason, even if their biggest trades (Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks and Kenny Stills to the Miami Dolphins) were not related to the salary cap. Here's a tally of the Saints cap-related moves over the last month: Traded OG Ben Grubbs: $3.6 million cap savings in 2015 Released/waived RB Pierre Thomas: $1.735 million saved LB Curtis Lofton: $4.25 million saved DB Corey White: $1.574 saved Restructured Jairus Byrd: $4.8 million saved Junior Galette: $10 million saved Keenan Lewis: $350,000 saved. Restructure with pay cut Jahri Evans: $4 million saved Brodrick Bunkley: $2.9375 million saved David Hawthorne: $2 million saved. Marques Colston: $3.2 million saved Read More Including Nice Breakdown Here |

I tell you the team base is looking great. Time to plug some holes with the draft and backup needs. I would be happy with a stud DT DE and ILB in the and a few good OL and maybe the next graham. You know coach can find them.

other than moving Bush or Vaccaro, there isn't much else that can be done, unless #9 or #6 takes a small cut

Funny that Cam Jordan is mentioned...
If available, Cameron Jordan would make sense for Raiders to consider - Oakland Raiders Blog - ESPN And yes, it's ESPN, but it's Bill Williamson and he's casually alluded to moves that have come to fruition... |

Cam Jordan, Kenny Vaccaro or Raphael Bush are the only guys I can see us moving still for draft picks or packaged in moves...
