Re: Sean Payton is the NFL’s most aggressive coach on fourth down
That 4th and goal stuff vs. Cincinatti last year was potentially a HUGE play in terms of not just that game, but really the entire season... first-and-goal on the 3 yard line, 4 tries and they didn't get in, and they didn't take the easy three which would have kept the game close...Cincinatti took the ball and effortlessly drove 99 yards the other way, even though it was finally only for a FG, it sucked the life out of the Dome and the team....even though it was still the 2nd quarter, that game was basically over at that point. The team, never got their mojo back, not even in the 4th. For me that was the point where the slide really became apparent, and for the rest of the year, they seemed like they were behind the 8 ball, not really the Sean Payton Saints we are used to.
