Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
I'm just curious to see the numbers from this poll.
Should we move up, stay put or move down in the first round? |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Stay at #13, maybe move up with our second 1st rounder (grab ILB before GB)
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Stay put at 13 and 31
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
move up #13 and stay at #31
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Stay put at #13 and #31
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Makes no sense to move up unless we are going up to #2 for a QB. Moving up to 10 to grab a WR??? I think we sit tight if that situation happens we are going to get a good DE or OLB staying put.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
With our salary cap it's time to find young cheap players to replace some of these high price veterans. I am not much of a gambler so with the 13th pick hopefully Vic Beasley but realistically randy Gregory 31st pick Byron jones or Breshad Perriman (stay put)
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Stay put @ 13, 31 and make em count.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
stay put and stop giving away valuable draft picks just to move up. really fed up with that, seems like they do this every year.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
13th: stay put for NT Shelton or top 3 WR or OL Collins
31st: stay put for WR Strong unless we took WR earlier; otherwise trade down |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Depends on who is there at 13.
If all of our top targets are gone we should look to trade back a few spots and pick up some extra selections. I think we should stay put at 31 because there will be a lot of value still there at that pick. Should be a ton of options be it ILB or WR. |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Move up from 13 to 4 (Oakland) to get Vic Beasley...
Stay put at 31 for DL Carl Davis or ILB Stephone Anthony... |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
I only said to move back, only if someone gave us their 2nd and we swap our 1st. So we would still have a 1st, and another pick
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Stay put at 13 and trade up at 31.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Trade back with pick #13 into the early to mid 20's for a mid 2nd or early 3rd. Stay put at #31. We could own this draft.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
After #1, there is no real consensus, and now there's talk of Chicago trading down. With the calculated moves SP has made this off-season I have to believe he has 2-3 guys in mind.
I don't we are looking at BPA this year. |

Endless possibilities ;). |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
I think we should sit tight at 13. I don't think anything would be worth moving up for at this point this year for anything other than a QB. I dont think either QB that are that highly rated this year are a sure thing enough to risk moving up for. I would almost rather stockpile some picks for next year so we can be in the position to make a move for a QB if there is an Andrew Luck or someone out there.
If I had to move up I would still stay pat at 13 and try and move up our later first. I really don't know enough about this current draft class to make much of an educated decision though. |

Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
At 13 you're guaranteed a top 2 talent at a position of need.
Stay put. At 31 you have more options. Players start to fall, teams start to reach. I like us to move up here or grab Stephone Anthony!! |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
I said move up only to get a game 1 starter nothing less.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
all depends now don't it.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Stay @13 trade #3 14 @ 2016 #1 for # 14 trade down @ 31 for more picks.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
No one knows, or will know, what Payton wants until we hear the selection. If he wants an OL, then we need to get in front of Atl and NYG to get Scherff. If he wants an LB/DE, then we can sit and wait.
A lot of 'experts' have us picking Waynes, CB from MSU. |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Go all Ditka, trade all of our picks for Crab legs Winston.
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
It all depends...
If there's a guy we love that we think will go top 10, move up. If there are 3 to 5 guys we love in that 13th pick range, stay put. If there are 7 to 10 guys we love in that 13th pick range, trade down. |

Redskins discussions w/ Bears, Rams, Vikings, Browns & Saints on trading down from 5th Overall. No talk w/ Eagles, pick very much available. |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
As poorly as our D was and played as they were last season. Trading down to pick up an extra piece to fit whatever type of scheme we run( I think were going 3-4) could nnly help fill a gaping hole we called the middle, it needs filled with some beef that is a bull followed by lb'ers that make slot recievers pay for invading their territory and make running backs not want their # called. I can't wait fir Ellerby to take the field and inflict some pain!! But he will need help?

Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
we should keep swapping picks so that basically the clock just keeps resetting.

Problem we've had is too much talent on one side of the field... There's only one, uno, eins, une, ONE football and we've had talent sitting on the sidelines because we were so stacked before the trades... Now, we're spreading the talent to the defense so that talent is now ob the field getting the ball back so we can control the ball, the clock, the game... Now, we do need a vertical WR and a quality Tight End... I give you mid-round picks WR Chris Conley, Georgia, 6' 2", 213 lbs. and TE Brian Parker, Albany, 6' 4", 260 lbs. |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?

Keep Brees upright for 2015. Select Schreif or Collins with the 1st pick & 31st go snatch Anthony or Perriman ;). Edit: Only way I see us moving up is to go get a player along the lines of say Williams. Crazy things happen during the draft. |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Most people on the board want us to stay put at both 13 and 31. I do find it interesting that more people want us to move up with our 31st pick than with the 13th. Still, most people agree that we should stand pat and get good players rather than risking a couple of draft picks for a still unproven player.
I wouldn't mind moving up in the 2nd round if a player we covet is there and Payton wants to pull the trigger on a new toy. |
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Trading up is just crazy talk, stay put at 13 and 31 and take BPA
|
Re: Move Up, Stay or Move Down In The First Round?
Trade down for multiple picks, use those picks to trade up, use that pick to trade back down............simple!
