New Orleans Saints sign LB Anthony Spencer

I'm not excited about this signing. But I do feel good about it. We are now able to go BPA throughout the draft and don't have to reach for a particular position.

I was just about to say that we tried the back-up in Butler so now we'll try the starter!

It's not exactly a flashy signing. Neither was Scott Fujita but.....

Butler's unfortunate Saints "career" had very little to do with Victor Butler. We should hope all players last longer than he did...

If healthy, it's an A plus signing
If he's still lost a step due to injuries, could be anywhere between a B and an F

I'm liking this. We are now at least really addressiing the lb.'er position after years. I also like Spencer, solid rotational depth able to play in different looks.

I actually love the signing. Cheap DE and OLB backup and he's a veteran who can teach the young pups
