There's alot of uncertainty there EM...

The guy just missed a season because of a bum hip...

Other than spurts by Ramon Humber, you've got nothing proven at ILBer...

We really need to draft two ILBer, we've never developed a LBer during Payton era with Joe Vitt in charge of LBers...

Maybe Ryan can remedy this glaring weakness...

...... that the Saints select Perryman at 31, IMO #1 ILB in this draft

I don't see how people aren't calling DE a need also...Its glaring to me. The whole front 7 needed an upgrade before FA, and we still need:
ILB (D QB)

SOLB (Harralson is ok but old, Powell could be the answer, but....)

DE (I really can see Cam getting moved, which would make the need even greater)

DT (do we really want to rely on Bunkley again?)

WR (somewhat of a luxury, but unless Jones or Coleman are ready, we could use one of these guys. I feel we missed out last draft and should have double-dipped here)

We have three defensive ends under contract that have played for us and some camp bodies...

For a 3-4 defense, you really should have four spots on a 53 man roster...

Saints draft Gregory and I'm throwing my remote through my TV and setting it on fire

You know what's the most common line in Bernardrick McKinney's scouting reports?

Built like Tarzan, plays like Jane

Wish the guy well only if he goes to an AFC West Team...

But I'd hate to risk a high pick, especially with our proverbial window of opportunity closing, on a player that tentative...

His size and athleticism, he should be destroying people...

Re: FBGP's 2015 Inside the War Room - Saints

Bernardrick McKinney if you accept he is a two down ILB right now he is a pick. I am not buying into the hit like Jane so much as teams went out of there way not to run at him.

Multi pro bowls? nah i am not going that far but he could very easily be the safest pick of all the 34 LB this year. A player that is just solid, flexible and almost impossible to replace for years to come could be his calling card.

now if a team spends time with him and work on his pas rush moves. which he has very little off, he could turn into something special. A two down ILB that can slide to OLB on passing downs.

After watching him last year IMO the coverage skills knock against him is a little unjust. In zone he was in the area he was suppose to be in and never appeared to be lost. in fact i remember more than once he called the pass play correct before the snap. no sure if i blame him or the other players at the second level. Not like they were loaded back there. their second level was loaded with athletes sure but as you research them questionable instincts and football IQ is a common theme. I believe some of this has unfairly stuck to him.

I think he is getting less respect than he deserves this off season. He is not the media darling off the off season. If he is there at 44 i would be hard pressed not to take him. dependability is a strong calling card at ILB

I still think he has first round talent in this draft and a team like the Colts might just take him. heck i would not be surprised to see the Pats grab him either

This draft is not loaded with game changers in the first round.

Drafting both Bernardrick McKinney and Stephone Anthony i could live with

I like most the other ILB but size worries me in a 34. mighty mice

Plus most of the
mighty mice racked up numbers facing spread offenses for a majority of their games. That fact is a huge warning light with all of the mighty mice in the mix. proceed with extreme caution.

Eric Kendricks is the only one i would consider, his instincts and all around skill set is of the chart. even then i am tentative

So the only two ILB on my list in the the first three rounds are

Bernardrick McKinney - you know what you are getting with some solid upside to work with
Stephone Anthony - one of the top 5 upside picks in the draft without a doubt

need input from Paz here. he has picked more than his share of LB over the years with good success rate

One of the kids I grew up with moved to Biloxi with his family just after he graduated high school; his mother was from there; he's a big Miss St fan/alum...

Don't know a game he doesn't post commentary on FB...

When we started discussing the NFL draft and I mentioned how I'd love for the Saints to have a great big monster in the middle like McKinney, he says...

BM will be like the Orange Bugs Bunny Monster - when you shave all the hair away, there's nothing there, he's still just a quarterback (recruited HS position)...

And when I asked him about the Tom/Jane comment, he says couldn't be more accurate...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: FBGP's 2015 Inside the War Room - Saints

Well, just before the offseason began, he was a first round pick as high as no. 13...

As the vetting has continued, he's certainly not...

And I just don't know how you turn on that switch...
