Re: Schedule released on 4/23
I think we open in philly, but really I have no idea. we should open at home since we opened on the road last year.
in 2009 our game against skins was on the road in dec., and it was cold cause I was there. that year we played the eagles week 2. out side of 2012, for obvious reasons, in 06 we went to the nfc championship and in 09 sb. I expect a good season |
Re: Schedule released on 4/23
According to NFL-AM we will have the 5th easiest schedule

But you are correct, just going by last years records is a horrible way to judge strength of schedule. Just in our own division I could see a 7 to 10 game improvement from last years records. I think ATL, NO and CAR will be 2 to 3 games better than last year and Tampa could be 3 or 4 games better. We don't play any elite teams this year. We play a few really good ones, (DAL PHL, AZ, DET, IND) and then a bunch of middle of the road teams like HOU, TEN, JAX, NYG, and WAS. It certainly looks easier than last year's schedule (on paper of course) |
Re: Schedule released on 4/23
I disagree, just look back to 2012 the Colts would of been terrible before they drafted Luck and that year they ended up making the playoffs mainly due to him

Nope, just saying that 1) don't discount the draft, 2) strength of schedule doesn't mean jack squat now

Last year Seattle had 6th 'toughest' and New England the 10th. Of the 4 'easiest', only Indy made the playoffs |
Re: Schedule released on 4/23
Before the salary cap, realignment, parity and Goofdell there were teams that you knew were a W. TB, NO, Indy, NYJ, Arizona come to mind
