Pennington torn Rotator cuff???????
Why do teams insist on starting a player who is injured? Especially a speciality player like a QB.... Sure the Jets won a playoff game, but I'd like to have a QB that is healthy. See Has wasn't a moron for starting Brooks when he was injured in 2002. He was just starting the trend. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8132562 |

Why?
I heard all that garbage from Saints\' fans about starting an injured Brooks a few years ago.
The truth is, coaches play injured QB\'s all the time. Jake Delhomme played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand this year. QBs have played with broken ribs, torn ratator cuffs, broken thumbs, and even broken legs. Why? Cause the coach still feesl they give the team the best chance to win. Starting a QB who is injured, lying about it, and losing all the games he is injured in, while having a \"good\" QB on the bench is not good decision making. It doesn\'t matter if Favre is always hurt, or McNabb plays with a broken leg, as long as they win. The Saints did not win while Brooks had an injured shoulder. Therin lies the difference.

I think Haz probably relied on Brooks to tell him the truth, and Brooks probably tried to downplay how bad his injury was so another Tom Brady would not be born. He didn\'t stop it from happening eventually, but, unfortunately for us, he was born somewhere else.
