Interesting read on TheAdvocate.com discussing a study done by the Buffalo Bills regarding fairness and scheduling for the NFL. Although the study said scheduling is not the end all be all for determining championships, it did mention the forever BANE of the Saints existence - the Thursday Night Football game. In it the study determined that the NFL should move some TNF games to Saturday night in all fairness.

I would be much happier with a Saturday night game, even a Friday night game would work better logistically for most teams.

CBS just paid over $300 million to air some Thursday night games.
The average 30 second commercial is ~ $500 million. You do the math fans. Is Thursday football shutting down any time soon? |
