What i dont get is the talk is moving away from Brees over 3-4 years. If so why take a QB now. His deal will be up by the time Drew is done

You do realize; Drew is only in contract this and next year right? Draft a QB, he learns behind Drew for those two years and then you have the next three on his rookie deal...

And after this year, Drew could be cut and we save money(7 million dead vs 20 million cap hit)

Use the rookie deal to beef up the rest of the team, just like the Seahawks did
