With Bud Dupree still available at 13, I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed with Peat. I mean the guy is an OT, period, a one trick pony. Not to mention at 6'7", a move inside to Guard would, in my opinion be disastrous. Drew has enough trouble seeing over the line now, imagine how hard it would be for him to see over a 6'7" guard? Just don't see it, no pun intended. Add to that, the fact that we do very well picking O-Linemen in later rounds like 4-6. In addition to that, with your highest pick, you NEED to get IMMEDIATE IMPACT PLAYERS or STARTERS. Do you honestly believe this guy is going to be a day 1 starter? Personally I'm disappointed with this pick, but SP & Loomis do this every year so oh well.

I do; I believe he beats out Strief on the right side. More athletic and better suited to screening, which works great with Cooks and Spiller on the field...

Peat's going to start, probably on the left side. That means Strief and Armstead will be rotating in and out on the right side. We still need to draft a OG. We should then be set.

wish they would let the saints know what is up with Collins before telling anyone else, even his agent when we are on the clock at 44. then again that maybe the plan all along

So you are willing to stake Drew Bree's' career on a rookie LT? I don't think SP will. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
