I don't think that's the case. He can only sign for a minimal annual salary contract and the only difference from one teams offer to another would be the signing bonus... which is capped. La'el Collins is a very unique case. If he's found innocent of any wrongdoing, he got screwed royally. I'd file a grievance against the league and bring the case in front of an arbitrator. I'm very intrigued at how that could turn out. He could be stuck like chuck, be allowed to re-enter the draft, or declared a free agent. I'm sure his agent and legal team are looking at all the possibilities... should make for an interesting case study.
