this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The investigation could take months to years. From a PR standpoint massive risk without the case being solved and clearing him. Basically a very dark cloud just sitting there and likely will be for a while....

Because of that, I doubt anyone will give him a chance. With so many picks, we might be willing to take the chance.

I would in round 3-5.
get the contract sorted so that if this case develops and he is arrested he forfeits any guaranteed money in the deal. Though you waste the pick if this happens you are not on the hook for a cap space. Id rather take a shot on him than another 2014 mid round selections |

If only we could get some re-assurance that it is only to answer some questions.
I would certainly draft him. We could also let him slide a bit to see if we can get some others in to help before him though. I am thinking Third round snag him. |

warning re post
wish they would let the saints know what is up with Collins before telling anyone else, even his agent. say when we are on the clock at 44. then again that maybe the plan all along Bouree Baby Bouree never sit in a Bouree game not knowing a face at the table. |

Re: Collins@ #44
If Payton really wants to ride Drew to another Superbowl then Collins is the pick at 44.
