Re: Collins@ #44
Simple
Tell his agent that you will sign him on a round 2-4 player deal after he speaks to the poice. Just clause the deal with gaurantees only being a year 2 roster bonus. If he is arrested for the incident he forfeits all money in the deal. Dont think we touch him though |
Re: Collins@ #44
I think the writing may be on the wall on this one. No team rolling the dice on a projected middle first round pick leads me to believe this kid may be in some serious trouble.

Re: Collins@ #44
Teams wont take the risk after Hernandez.
I do wonder if the league has privately told everyone to stay away |
Re: Collins@ #44
Collins has NO leverage. Stating that he will re-enter the draft after not going high only means that he WONT be drafted. The only way he can re-enter the draft is IF he gets drafted. BUt since he has given away his position that he would re-enter the draft means NO team will draft him as it means they are throwing away a draft pick. So the only option he will have is to sign a UDFA contract. If I have this wrong or someone sees it different let me know.

Re: Collins@ #44
I hope Mickey contacts him and offers a contract worthy of a middle 1st round pick.
Of course there should be a "convicted of murder" clause snuck in their too. The best thing to happen for him is an UDFA contract. Disclaimer: I'm assuming you can sign an UDFA for any amount you want. |
