Various mock drafts
Have us takin the following players(will change much in the following months)
Channing Crowder-Lb-2 mocks Pac Man Jones-Cb-2 mocks Carlos Rodgers-Cb-1 mock Shawne Merriman-Lb-1mock Justin Miller-cb-1 mock Travis Johnson-dt-1 mock Marlin Jackson-cb-1 mock Crowder-unquestionable talent-off-field issues?I say no Pac Man Jones-Shut down corner. I say yes Carlos Rodgers-Is he a product of Auburn's great D?undecided Shawne Merriman-I dont know much about him. Anybody? undecided Justin Miller-All he does is make big plays. I say he!! yes Travis Johnson-A beast at DT. Do we really need to pickanother D-lineman? Undecided Marlin Jackson-Seen him play..seems slow, more fit to play S. I say no. Jones, miller, or rodgers will be there and they would be a safer pick over Jackson Comments welcome fellas. out of these guys, who do u want in black and gold come April?I say best player available. which right now i would say is a tie(Pac Man and Miller) |

I\'m sure there will be a major revolt by Saints fans if our first two picks in \'05 are from Georgia regardless of how good they might be.

I don\'t think we can go wrong with any of them except for Jackson. I kind of agree with you one that one. He definately has the talent but when I watched him play, he also looked slow to me. But hey they said the same thing about Michael Clayton and he got 1000 yards receiving.
Shawne Merriman - He looks like a Terrell Suggs type of player, which isn\'t too bad |

repeating this link for anyone that missed it, continually updated mock draft saint first round picks from a plethora of sites. what a cottage industry!
http://saintsrevolution.com/mockdrafthq.htm with the youngsters already at LB i would prefer to see a vet FA acquired there. as much as fakir progressed another top corner like pacman or justin miller teamed with a vet like mckenzie to learn would be solid. thomas davis may be a first rounder but i like brimmer or shazor in the 2nd value-wise more. methinks one solid impact defensive FA (hartwell first choice) and the two first draft picks being defensive guys who could have any significant impact and the defense could actually push toward mediocrity at least. |
