Unger is an experienced, productive starting offensive center who will not be 30 years old until next April and is under contract until 2017. He immediately solidifies the center position (occupied in 2014 by Jonathan Goodwin and, sparingly, Tim Lelito) so long as he is here. A knock against Unger has been his durability, and that is a fair concern. He has started 35 regular-season games in the last three years of a possible 48. However, consider that Graham has only started 34 of 48 over the same time span. So the Saints are not really losing or gaining anything towards the injury report.

To find out just what the Saints are getting in Unger, I compared his 2014 snap count with departing Saints center Jonathan Goodwin to find common opponents.
