New Orleans Saints kicker Shayne Graham wasn't hard to spot on the golf course Monday morning.

Graham, one of many Saints competing in the Saints Hall of Fame Celebrity Golf Classic at Chateau Country Club, was clad head to toe in maroon and orange—colors of his alma mater, Virginia Tech.

Graham was relaxed and cracking jokes, despite hearing the news that the Saints had signed kicker Zach Hocker the day before. The Saints now have three kickers on the roster, with Dustin Hopkins also in the mix.

At 37, Graham doesn't sweat things like that anymore.

"Whatever it is, I have no control over that," Graham said. "All I can do is take care of myself. ... All I can do is perform my best, try to protect myself and win the job."

Graham has been in the league since 2000, bounced around on 14 teams (some more than once), and has pretty much seen it all. Nothing surprises him at this point.

"I've been in every scenario you can imagine," Graham said. "It's nothing out of the ordinary for me."

If one of these guys can kick it accurately over 40 yards then Graham is gone. Paytons game plan was affected by Grahams inability to hit the long field goal. We need a new game plan.

You know what's weird about kickers? It seems more like a trust thing or a "feeling" than it is about performance. I mean few people can say guys like Graham and even Hartley are terrible. They're numbers are actually decent. But who really trusts them?

I remember when Morton Anderson would walk on the field. I didn't worry at all. In fact I never had a doubt in my mind he wouldn't just kick it right through.
