Re: Poor ole Andy Tanner......
It may not be over for Tanner, seriously, what are the chances of him getting picked up by another team? The Saints probably just needed the roster spot for right now. I believe he has a legitimate shot at making the opening day roster this season.

Re: Poor ole Andy Tanner......
I don't believe he has any shot of making the opening day or any other day's roster.

Re: Poor ole Andy Tanner......
sorry just never saw it with Tanner, IMO he was one of those guys that showed a little bit of talent in the preseason so everyone jumped on his bandwagon so they could be right if just IF he actually did something in a regular season game so they could say "Look I told you so"

I still say Preston Parker outshined Tanner that preseason.

My guess is he'll be back for at least one more run.

Re: Poor ole Andy Tanner......
I liked Tanner, at least what I saw.
Tanner has excellent hands. Only remember one drop that hit his hands. Light in the pants and a step slower than his competition. He was "OK' doing all the things asked of him. Just didn't bring anything glaringly better to create his own niche. Not big like Colston, not quick like Moore/Stills/Sproles, not fast like Henderson/Morgan. Just could never play his way to the front row. |

Re: Poor ole Andy Tanner......
I know some people got tired of seeing Tanner on the PS and such. To me he was the New Orleans Saints version of "Rudy".
I would've liked for him to see the field even if it was on special teams. I don't feel sorry for him. But I do respect him. With so many NFL bums out there, this above average athlete stuck around a long time. That takes some serious heart. Respect to Tanner from me. |

Don't feel too sorry for him. He isn't going anywhere.
