Sean Payton: Saints will not have joint practices with Texans
Saints head coach Sean Payton confirmed Thursday that New Orleans will host joint practices with New England this August at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia. However, he also said the Saints will not be doing the same with the Texans, as had been previously reported.
It was revealed Wednesday that the Texans were going to be the featured team on HBO's "Hard Knocks" during training camp, and New Orleans would have likely made a cameo on the show during joint practices leading up to the Aug. 30 preseason game against Houston. Payton said Thursday, though, that the Saints spoke with the Texans but elected to only practice with the Patriots.
