The New Orleans Saints have found the right combination heading into the 2015 season for their ailing defense and it appears to be defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and defensive assistant Dennis Allen.

While Ryan has the ideas that will hopefully get the Saints defense back on track, Allen will be there to sift through the ones that are doable and ones that most likely won’t be feasible.

My favorite part. On paper it does look like a good teaming. Lets just hope their egos don't clash in some sort of power struggle.

What a great thing it will be if they fix the Defense. I still wonder if they fixed the gutless team that quit on us last year. Was that all scheme and Rob Ryans fault? Doubtful.

IMO, Ryan's strength is X's and O's - NOT being the all-encompassing head coach of a defense.

I'll bet Ryan agrees Allen's "influence" will make his life easier and more successful one in New Orleans.

Allen will be to Ryan what Payton is to Carmichael.

I disagree about the X's and O'x part. I think he is more a players coach but that is it. There was all this hype last off-season about the new revamp D. Look was much like that of Seattle's Diamond / box coverage and we saw NONE of it. I wasn't impressed and well no one was impressed with him last year.
