the only game I attended last year was the Overtime victory in the dome vs. the Buccaneers - and the crowd was fantastic. I admit, throughout the game it didn't have that Superdome feel, but we showed up big time when the boys pinned them back within their own 5 yard line. Then a crowd induced false start brings them back their 1 Yd line or so. and then we got the Safety. And oh man when when Khiry broke those tackles near the goal line for the OT touchdown.. I still get chills when I watch the video. Good memories

I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes I sit in my seat and I could swear that noon kickoff games on Sunday after evening LSU games the night before, are not quite as loud as, night games in the Dome, or even 3 PM kickoffs, or games where there's no LSU game that weekend. It's like a certain small percentage of the crowd is hungover and screamed out, and it holds us back.

But night games, and late kickoffs? The Dome is as loud and crazy as anyplace, including CenturyLink with its extra fake pumped-in noise.

I firmly believe our Super Bowl would never have happened, without that "too many men in the huddle" penalty against Minnesota, which put them out of field goal range, making Favre throw the INT on the very next play at the end of the game -- that penalty was directly caused by the confusion and sheer noise of the crowd. Without it, no Lombardi.

You think Seattle being in an outdoor stadium wasn't pumping in fan noise too?

Mmmmmmm! I don't recall much "home field advantage" at all last season!! :-(. Hope they can make better use of it this season.

I know right. It was like a funeral home.

But 2014 was the exception not the rule. Over the last decade we're easily in the top 5 and probably higher.

Barring another 2014 disaster, 2015 should be a phenomenal success. Its gonna get painfully loud.

So loud we gave Jimmy Graham a flinch.
