Aren't the Feagles on the hook for his current contract? That means we can offer less.

Maybe he just wants out and his contract demands are simply a ploy to get him cut so he can sign elsewhere for basically the same money.

I could buy that.

And if it truly is $5 million per year, I think we can make it happen with just a few personnel moves.

I was just reading the same info. My question is; do we save money by cutting anyone post June 1?

Well, we just signed DT Williams to a one year deal. This might make it too difficult to afford him.

our cap (and everyone's) is in flux until we know who the top 51 are. We have a lot of vets in the top 51 that probably won't make it: Hightower, Wilson, Phillips, Sanford? Harris? and who is Jerry Franklin? Every little bit helps- that's about 1.1 right there

I do think we have $5 million to scrape together if he would take that. Right now we are $3 million under.

No, the Eagles don't owe him anything, but he is a $2 mill cap hit
