A few years ago Benson, Mora, Hebert and a few other players came to Lafayette LA to promote the Saints, I got there about 2 hours early to meet and talk to fellow fans, soon as I got there I saw Benson, he noticed me looking towards him and came to speak to me, I had a 30 minute talk with him, just the 2 of us, what I like about our talk was the fact that #1 he came to me and began the talk but more important he asked me how long I was a fan and who was my favorite player at the time which was Bobby Hebert, he really wanted to know what I thought of the team, he even signed my cap, later on Mora and Bobby showed up and people began to pile up around them, I began walking towards Mora and Bobby to meet them, when I got to them Benson told Bobby that he was my favorite player, Bobby shook hands with me and said a few words.
Later Benson began a pep-rally if you will getting all of the Saints fans pumped, earlier when I spoke with Benson I asked him if we had a chance making the playoffs, he said we will be in the Superbowl, if I remember right we went 3-13 :)
Reason I brought this up was back then Benson truly loved the fans of the Saints, I just wonder if he still talks to them as he did with me back then and if he truly still loves his fans.
Talking with Benson and Bobby was my best memory as a Saints fan, I never had a chance to speak with Mora, like some say, " Those were the good ole' days "

Thanks for sharing such a great story. I\'ve always wanted to take Benson seriously when he talks about building a winner.

You know how much we hate when this team losses?...winnable game after winnable game...year after year...

Imagine fitting the bill for these guys...

I don\'t agree with Benson\'s words..or motives..but..I understand

And that is a really good story..I almost feel jealous..almost...
