this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; And yea I like the idea. We need another passing threat that can block as well. The more protection for Brees the better. I like the versatility of a TE. I think people tend to not take tight ends blocking ...

And yea I like the idea. We need another passing threat that can block as well. The more protection for Brees the better. I like the versatility of a TE. I think people tend to not take tight ends blocking under consideration when they think about that position now that the they have developed more in the passing game over the years.
That being said can he block? |

A whole lot better than what we saw in Jimmy Dickens. Saw Gresham on Hard Knocks a few years ago ... during the Oklahoma drills, this guy was a monster. Big, strong and powerful.
From what I have read, he can "whiff" on his blocks but on other times, he is completely dominant. |
