Given the fact that our defense is more of a question mark than it was before i could understand going with a solid veteran addition up front.

It would appears that Drew's stress level just went up 10 fold.

Again, if he is stuck on 6 million, I don't think it's going to happen. Where he screwed up was only getting a 5 mill signing bonus 3 years ago, and he gets practically nothing this year.

There is no restructure of Brees. 2016 is his last year. Signing Brees to a new deal could help lower the cap hit of 2016, but that would mean a new lucrative deal for Brees.

A new contract would mean his deal is restructured. I'm sure it'll be much friendlier than the $26 M it is now.
