So where will he land?

Now that the dust has settled somewhat, and we are faced with a $5.5 mill hit this year and $12 next, we can ask the obvious question:
Who will JG play for in 2015?
Will he sign with Atl or Car just to face us twice?
Will he go with the teams that welcome players like him, such as Dall and Oak?
or will we sit on his a$$ and just get paid?
I'll throw the Pats in there as well- Belicheck has a way with wayward players

Re: So where will he land?

My guess...

1. Oakland, just because thats how they roll
2. Cincy, because they always ignore character
3. Atlanta, because they are dumbasses
4. Dallas, because Jerry is so far superior to everyone else that they will change him.
5. Tampa, because they are desperate and he's choir boy compared to their legend that looks like a grown up Buckwheat.

Re: So where will he land?

I think most teams will wait to hear how the pectoral muscle heals. By that time, the NFL will have plenty of time to rule on his transgressions. I do not think he signs with anybody until late in camp or maybe even after game 1.

Because of that, I think it will depend on injuries and such to determine where he will go.

All the teams on your list are possible, but also all will have a chance to see how the players are performing before signing him.

Frankly, I think it is too early to speculate.

Re: So where will he land?

Someone will pick him up and that is pathetic and worrisome.

Whatever team does sign him I hope has the worst season EVER.

Re: So where will he land?

It's a shame because by the time someone else signs him (IF someone else signs him), he'll be on his best behavior and that team will get the JG that we should've deserved all along. This is, of course, contingent upon him fixing his character issues.

dude, we'll see what happens with the suspension first, and then we will see if someone wants to sign him with the beating woman aspect

Re: So where will he land?

When depends on what his suspension looks like, I could see Goodhell going ape**** with the amount of games...

Might not be so bad, that may give the team a viable opportunity to get some of that money back

His suspension likely will be six games. He might get an extra game or two tacked on if they view things as two separate incidents. His locker room antics that probably played as much in his release as the other will not factor into his suspension.

I totally agree. He will serve some type of suspension and play lights out after that for a team running a 4/3.

Probably wrong to wish MRSA on him, but he hits women, fights with teammates, badmouths his coach, and overall acts like an entitled jackass, so...

After yesterday's rant via his GF twitter account. I hope it is Atlanta and the Saints flip Zach Strief to whatever side he rushes from. That would be interesting after what JG said about Strief wife!

I respect Lovie too much to let that occur but I could be wrong and desperation may be king.

I'm saying Atlanta. Dimitroff is known to be a fan of these sorts of kooky, risky, free agent moves that don't usually pan out well.

Think it's time for him to go get a shave in the City one last time before heading to the Raiders.

He got paid and let his inner true self show .He is a classless a** hole.I am glad we got rid of a guy that was lockeroom cancer . The negative impact is he was a decent pass rusher. Hopefully someone will rise to the occasion and make us forget he was ever on our team. I have been proud of our lockeroom and the way 99% of our team has conducted themselves. We don't need Mr Gallete's lk on our roster. Good riddance to poor rubbish.

Junior Galette denies going on anti-Saints Twitter rant | ProFootballTalk

Still I agree, he has become pretty classless with recent behavior. Definitely a cancer on the team that obviously SP and Loomis felt wasn't worth dealing with anymore.

Believe me, if Payton thought the team would be better with Galette he would still be on the roster. In Payton's eyes his negatives out-weighed his positives.

whatever. wherever. pray he gets a bit of a bidding war so it is not at league min.

A nice multi year contract to whip the books clean would be great. that would prove he did not go anti saint on twitter IMO. :)

Bears make a lot of sense. New Orleans connection and all. Plus i thought if Jr was traded on draft day this was my #1 trading partner.

Since he was a locker room cancer and all around bad guy to have around I don't understand the concern about where he ends up.

No way does Chicago pick him up. All Payton and Loomis have to do is make one phone call to kill that deal.

Re: So where will he land?

I'd say 50/50 he might be done and that he goes the obscurity/stupidity route of so many NFL busts.
He accomplished his goal of getting paid. What's left?

His next game will probably be with a travelling "all-star" team with a road game in North Korea

Keep mouth shut, be diplomatic, get healthy, sign with new team. Junior is batting 0 for 4 right now. I don't recall anyone falling from grace this hard and fast before. John Sullivan and Jason David are now off the hook.

I believe only if we can prove he broke the standards of conduct part of his (and all players') contract

Jason David was a good team mate and had 5 times the heart of either of those players. Unfortunately he just didn't have NFL talent. He was a great guy by all other accounts.

JD had NFL talent but we put him a system that he didn't have the right skills for. He was great for the Colts.
