Browner moving up on charts everywhere i see-
Height: 6\'4\" Weight: 202 lbs. 2002: Redshirt 2003: 43 Tackles 6 PBU 6 INT 2 FF 2004: 44 Tackles 9 PBU 0 INT Brandon Browner is leaving Oregon State and heading into the 2005 NFL draft with two years of eligibility remaining. He took a redshirt in 2002 and really broke out as a freshman in 2003, recording six interceptions and earning Pac-10 freshman of the year honors. He has good speed and at 6\'4\" 202 pounds, he has the size NFL scouts covet in a cornerback. He has excellent ball skills and has proven to be a true \"ballhawk\" during his short career at Oregon State. With just two years of experience, Browner is still very raw and he needs a lot of work when it comes to technique. He has proven to be a very durable player, starting all 23 games of his career with the Beavers. He has a tremendous amount of upside and won\'t be on the board very long on draft day. He has all the tools to become a shutdown corner in the NFL and should be a second round pick in April. |

our corners are not our problem... our problem is our front 7 being lazy, slow, and incompetent.... i think the ends are going to be good, but dt is a major weakness on the team (which is ironic considering the amount of draft we\'ve wasted there)... and the lb\'s with the exception of cie grant (only b/c he\'s not played, so i want to see what he\'s got) and watson, can all go up a rope as far as i\'m concerned.... i\'d get rid of all of \'em.... we have got to address the lb problem in free agency or the draft (preferably both)
You know better. [Edited on 13/2/2005 by JOESAM2002] |

Derrick Johnson (Trade) - LB - Texas hail Redskins (Nate) Feb. 13, 2005 Thomas Davis - S - Georgia N2FL Feb. 12, 2005 Marlin Jackson - CB - Michigan The Sports Genius Feb. 12, 2005 Jammal Brown - OT - Oklahoma On The Clock Draft Feb. 11, 2005 Kevin Burnett - LB - Tennessee Sports Dialogue Feb. 12, 2005 Derrick Johnson (Trade) - LB - Texas East Coast Sports News Feb. 12, 2005 Travis Johnson - DT - Florida St. NFL Smackdown Feb. 11, 2005 Derrick Johnson (Trade) - LB - Texas hail Redskins (Akkhorus) Feb. 11, 2005 Thomas Davis - S - Georgia CNNSI Feb. 11, 2005 ----- i do find it interesting seeing these mocks having n.o. trade up to get derrick johnson. also, seeing someone other than saint\'s fans opinion of what trade value might be. here are a couple of those- New Orleans trades #16, Donte\' Stallworth, and Cie Grant to Oakland for #7. 7) New Orleans (From Oakland)-OLB Derrick Johnson TEX -Haslett finally gets the linebacker he\'s always wanted. 6. New Orleans Saints - TRADE (from Tennessee)...LB Derrick Johnson (Texas)...The Titans have a Salary cap mess to cleanup and may have to part with as many as 7 starters to ease their cap situation...drafting at this spot requires paying a hefty signing bonus (16.5 Million last year) and big contract (6 years - 40 million last year) that the Titans don\'t need at this time...the Saints have a big need at the LB position and covet Derrick Johnson...the Titans now own the 16th pick in this round with the rest of the trade details to be announced later. |

they are the two on the list that have (trade) signified, hail redskins and texas east coast sports news. i just copy n paste the list from-
http://saintsrevolution.com/mockdrafthq.htm when it is updated every few days there. the site names are linked there but i dunno how to copy a link to make it a link here as well (if it can be done). i asked if we could get a coupla threads pinned, like for links, or reference material for free agency or the draft but it didnt happen. they are still around a few pages back, i\'ll try n add something so they dont get quite so lost. |

fox sports pick n comment-
Alex Smith QB Utah QB Aaron Brooks has needed a kick in the backside for years, and the selection of Smith would push Brooks to become the elite quarterback he is capable of being  or accelerate his departure. Smith would be a great value pick here. |
