Re: Sloppiness reigns Supreme
While I'd love to hear that we look like world-beaters, maybe this is for the best.
We looked like world-beaters last camp and turned on the suckage in the regular season... |

... get it all out of the way now boys, that's why it's called "training camp", ... of course, we'll be going to two-a-days, three-a-days and/or four-a-days until you get it right, .

Re: Sloppiness reigns Supreme
Unfortunately when people say "we can't be as bad as ..... Or it can only go up from here" we know its not true. As bad as the defense was last season, they were still worse when Spags was the coach.

Re: Sloppiness reigns Supreme
The O-Line is a concern. Armstead's health. Lelito's ability. Evan's age, injury concerns, and declining production. Peat not being in shape. No depth behind any of them.
The loss of Graham's play making ability at TE. Watson is old and Hill is an over-achiever at best. Who is going to line up at WR? Colston has been a great pro, but his skills are clearly on the decline. Cooks is very talented but small and coming off an injury. Toon will never be anything in the NFL. Morgan has had serious off-field issues. The rest flash skills, sometimes, in camp, but are completely unproven. Spiller has the skills but has never been able to stay healthy. How many RB's have became healthy and productive later in their career? I think he will probably just tease. I think the defense will be better. Browner was a needed signing and Anthony seems to be the real deal. The pass rush is still a big question mark. Not sold on RR. Maybe Allen will make a difference. Will the new kicker shine or will there be a key loss or two or worse yet a revolving door? Big unknown. The chance of all those questions being answered positively is very doubtful. Do the Saints have to have all those things go perfectly to be successful? No. But, what is success for this team? Playoffs? Division title? Super Bowl? I personally see 9-7 and hope that's good enough to get in the dance. |
